Why did I paint this so small?

Actual size, 4 x 4 inches. I might as well paint on lima beans. Sunset on the pu’us in Waimea, Hawaii. Such a vast view. Pulled out the oil paints for a change. Painting a thumbnail felt easier than doing something large. Or even medium, apparently. I love the glow potential of oil paint.
