New class: Summer 2026
Watercolor: Five Techniques in Five Weeks
Learn and practice essential watercolor techniques and then apply them to images that make the most of your new skills. With demos, discussions, and painting sessions in class, we'll focus on a different technique each week, such as wet-in-wet blending in a landscape, or layering without overworking to capture a glowing still life. Weekly handouts will prep you for each weeks' lesson and serve as useful reminders later. Understanding how technique and imagery can work together will help you master this delightful and sometimes elusive medium.
5 week session starting on July 21 through August 18
Classes will be Tuesday mornings from 9:30am to 12:30pm
Registration starts beginning of May. Hit the link for more info: Minnetonka Center for the Arts

Which was hard to believe by the end of day. What a great group. I tried out my idea of painting a landscape without drawing. Inspired by this short video of artist Lena Gemzoe painting.
